We used to hear about being significant and making a difference in our own little ways. As Dr. Richard Dobbins once said, “Significance in life is more important than success.” You make it to the top of the ladder in whatever field you’re into and become successful, but you have to discover the meaning and purpose along the journey in order to become significant.
In connection to that, below are some highly recommendable avenues where you can out-pour your overflowing love and extend your generosity to those in need:
Our Little Warrior Thene – Remember Courageous Caitie and how she touched the lives of many people through her bravery and faith in the Lord? Now is our chance to give back and share our blessings to this another brave little girl, Kyrzthene Airis, as she battles with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow characterized by an overproduction of immature white blood cells. Her procedures and therapies are costly and prayer is much needed. Encourage her mother now, Kristine Michelle Magwale at +639209785975.
Project Libro – Let go of your old books now and join the advocacy of this group, which basically aims to support various initiatives of chosen elementary schools and deserving students. Project Libro gathers second hand or brand new books, preferably but not limited to self-help, inspirational, leadership and discipleship genres. Gathering funds by reselling the donated books enables them to conduct free sessions on life lessons among elementary students, mainly with the objective of developing their dreams for themselves and for their families. School supplies and learning materials are also given to these future leaders of our country and economy.
“In the terrible ordeal they suffered, their abundant joy and deep poverty overflowed into rich generosity.” 2 Corinthians 8:2
Uplift Cares Global Movement Foundation Inc. – Have you ever heard the story of Daddy Long Legs, a mysterious benefactor who gave Judy Abbott the opportunity to study in exchange of none other than a monthly letter, telling how she is and what are her thoughts? The good news is you can be one! This organization is strongly committed to improve health, give education, provide livelihood and opportunities for personal growth to our poor communities. For questions, feel free to call +(632)8669994 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Be a catalyst of change by showing that you are indeed blessed to bless other people! Visit Lingap Bata, an all-boys orphanage and Bahay Kalinga, a home for the aged at San Jose Patag, Sta. Maria, Bulacan. You may also want to join me and my friend, John Dee, as we will be celebrating our birthdays on October with these kids and/or collaborate with us, Team Jheck, as we’re planning to spend time with these grandmothers very soon. Drop a message on how you could be part of these events!
As generosity begins with God who loved the world and gave His only begotten Son, let us all be joyful in giving, lavish in sharing and live to overflow. Our time, talent, treasure and touch will surely not be in vain as we inspire, shake and move other people’s lives. Have a great day, everyone! 🙂
